# Fixing "Sold Out" Products In Your Shopify Store

Products showing **Sold Out**, inventory of 0, or a checkout error can have a Shopify configuration issue or a genuine availability problem. First confirm that the exact variant can ship to your customer’s country in **Marketplace**, then work through these checks.

# Check 1: Shipping Zones And Rates

Shopify needs shipping rates for the customer’s destination from the product’s assigned fulfillment location. A missing rate can block checkout even when the product is available.

1. In Shopify, open **Settings** > **Shipping and delivery**.
2. Check that **Tradelle Fulfillment** is included in the relevant shipping profile.
3. Under **General shipping rates**, click **Manage** and review your target countries.
4. Use **Create shipping zone** to add only destinations where the products can actually ship, and configure a rate.
5. Test checkout for each intended destination. Do not enable worldwide shipping without confirming coverage.

|| An address-related checkout error can be caused by a missing shipping rate, an unsupported destination, or an unavailable variant. Check all three.

# Check 2: Inventory At The Wrong Location

Shopify tracks stock per location. If a product's inventory sits at "Shop Location" (or another app's location) instead of **Tradelle Fulfillment**, it shows 0.

* Open the affected product and each variant in Shopify and check the inventory location. Tradelle products should use **Tradelle Fulfillment**.
* For multiple affected products, use **Products** > **Inventory** and **Edit locations** carefully.
* Preserve locations used by your own stock or other suppliers; do not change unrelated products.

# Check 3: Review The Inventory Setting

Shopify inventory numbers can be virtual quantities used by the integration. They are not a live count of units physically held by the manufacturer.

Only after confirming that the variant is available and its configuration is correct, consider **Continue selling when out of stock** for that affected variant. In Shopify, open **Products** > **Bulk edit**, add the column through **Columns**, and review the relevant variants individually.

||| Do not enable this setting across all products or use it to sell a product confirmed unavailable. Do not rely on an advance stockout email or automatic disabling as a guarantee against overselling.

# Check 4: Done-For-You Store Not Connected Yet

A purchased Done-For-You store needs an **active Tradelle subscription** and a [connection to your Tradelle account](/en/article/how-to-connect-a-shopify-store-with-tradelle-1uvbsbz/) for automated fulfillment. A zero inventory display alone does not confirm the cause.

After connecting, check the **Tradelle Fulfillment** location, the **TR-** SKU, and availability. The included connected products do not normally need re-importing.

# Check 5: Free AI Store Products

Free AI Store Builder starter products are not automatically connected to Tradelle fulfillment. [Import available products from Tradelle](/en/article/how-to-import-products-from-tradelle-to-shopify-11sae0m/) before selling. If a product is missing, [request sourcing by email](/en/article/how-to-request-a-product-sourcing-611oro/).

||| For these stores, "Continue selling" alone is not a fix. It would let customers order products that have no supplier behind them.

# Check 6: Product Visibility

* Products imported from Tradelle arrive as **Draft** by design. Set them active: **Products** > select > **More actions** > **Set as active**.
* Make sure **Online Store** is ticked under the product's Sales channels.
* On Done-For-You themes, the homepage shows specific collections. New products must be added to one of those collections to appear.

# Still Sold Out?

Two rules first: **never change the SKU or fulfillment location** of imported products (if it happened, re-import from Tradelle), and re-test your storefront in an incognito window after every fix, since themes cache aggressively.

If it still doesn't resolve, email **support@tradelle.io** with two screenshots: one affected product's Inventory section (showing SKU and location), and your Settings > Shipping and delivery page. The team can pinpoint the cause from those.
